I am located near Ardagh/Ferndale on a small quiet street in a fully fenced yard.

This preschool is a fun and educational atmosphere with a small class size to ease children into the school environment. I follow the Day Nursery Act for ratios of a home run program, which allows five children enrolled. (My daughter is also here for the mon/wed program.) The preschool classroom is self contained with its own mini kitchen area and bathroom.  It is over 700 sq feet.

My program is play-based learning: A method of instruction that uses children’s natural inclination to make sense of the world through play, guided by the care provider. Through play, children engage in social interaction, hands-on exploration and discovery; increase their understanding of new ideas or concepts; and solve problems in a variety of ways.

Emphasis is placed on self-esteem, expression of feeling, empathy, perseverance, responsibility, hope and problem-solving abilities, all extremely important social skills for sucess in kindergarten. 

I also provide many opportunities for the children to develop their fine/gross motor skills, learn foundations for mathematics (eg patterning, sets, etc), acquire early literacy skills, and indulge their imaginations through games, dress up and dramatic play.
